I am pretty simple when it comes to cardmaking. I usually just stick to stamps, ink & some ribbon. Lately I've been trying to expand my list of supplies & try some new stamping techniques. I just got a bunch of stuff from the new catalog, some of the new Sale-A-Bration promotion FREE sets & my preorder from the upcoming Occasions Mini Collection (available March 1st). My sister-in-law's birthday is next week (Happy Birthday, Michelle!) & I decided that for her card I was going to play with some of my new stuff. After I was done I realized that I didn't even use one single stamp on the card! (Sorry for the slightly fuzzy picture-it's a lesson to me to always check my camera's setting before snapping away!)
The Old Olive flower, the Whisper White flowers on the left & the Chocolate Chip "happy day" are all from rub-ons you can get for FREE from Sale-A-Bration (you get 4 sheets, 1 each in White, Black, Old Olive & Chocolate Chip with many different designs). They are so easy to use & you can use them on just about any kind of surface! I think I will be using these a lot more often! The Rose Red felt flower is from the Flower Fusion kit (p. 177, 130 pieces [colors: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Rose Red], $14.95, 110720). These felt flowers are awesome! And I attached it with one of my old favorites-a rhinestone brad (p. 189, 80 Brads [4 colors, 2 sizes], $10.95, your choice of Fire or Ice). The ribbon is a preview of the new Poly-Twill Ribbon which will be available in the upcoming Occasions Mini Collection. It is so pretty! And you will be able to get it in Old Olive or Chocolate Chip. The Hodgepodge Hardware Flower Ribbon Slide will also be available in the Occasions Mini Collection. It is part of a new Hodgeppodge Hardware kit-Styled Silver. Look for this kit, it's great!
